The old town of Bergerac is about a 20 minute drive away.
The entire Pays de Bergerac is a wonderful combination of rolling countryside,
picturesque Bastide towns, good wine and gourmet food. St Emilion and
many other vineyards are all within easy reach.
If you fancy a day in Bordeaux a train is available or a motorway link road gives an easy drive. You can visit all the classic sites of the Dordogne. Dramatic hill top villages, troglodyte settlements and caves and huge medieval castles and châteaux. There is ample canoeing on the rivers and horse riding at a local stable.
The area also provides for golf, cycling and boat trips on the Dordogne. There is something here to suit everyone, but all at a pace of life which is calm and unhurried. Le Vieux Cerisier is perfectly positioned to provide you with access to this entire lovely region.
